When data from Legwork is updated in a connected Practice Management System (Dentrix, Cloud9, OpenDental, EagleSoft, Curve, etc.), we call this a Writeback.
In the event of an interruption of communication between a Practice Management System (PMS) and Legwork, your system will create a record of any updates from Legwork to the Practice Management system which failed to transfer. These are referred to as Failed Writebacks.
If communication is disrupted due to the PMS being unreachable (server is turned off, power outage, internet disruption, etc.), the Failed Writebacks need to be acknowledge in Legwork.
Tasks that failed to write to the PMS may need to be manually updated. For example, if a patient responds to an appointment reminder to confirm an upcoming appointment during an interruption of communication between your PMS and Legwork, you will need to manually mark the appointment as confirmed within your PMS. The Failed Writeback asks as a task list so you know what effort may be required.
Once you have updated the PMS, you will want to acknowledge the writeback(s) to clear the list.
Acknowledging a Failed Writeback
- Log into https://www.lwcrm.com
- Navigate to the To-Do Lists tab
- Click Failed Writebacks in the left navigation bar
- Individually acknowledge each item by clicking the "Acknowledge" button for the individual item OR click the "Acknowledge All" button at the top of the list
If you have any questions regarding Failed Writebacks or the steps required to acknowledge them, please contact Legwork Support at support@legwork.com.
