Configuring UTM Parameter capture for the Return on Marketing Spend Report
If you are running a digital ad campaign and leverage UTM parameters to attribute the traffic source, Legwork's Return on Marketing Spend report is able to track:
- UTM Source
- UTM Medium
- UTM Campaign
- UTM Term
- UTM Content
- UTM Referral Source
Scenario: A digital ad directs users to a page where a Legwork form is used to capture their information
If your digital ad campaign directs to a landing page where a Legwork Form is used to capture a prospect's information, you will need to make sure the form's setting has "Include online marketing tracking via UTM parameters" enabled. To do so:
- Go to Form Builer
- Navigate to the Form folder where the appropriate form is
- Click into the Form. Go to Settings.
- Check the box Include Online Marketing Tracking via UTM Parameters
- On the upper right hand corner, click Save, then Update.
Once completed, the Legwork Application will know to look for and store information provided by the UTM parameters as configured by your digital ad campaigns.
Scenario: A digital ad directs users to a website that has the Legwork Online Appointment Booking tool
If your digital ad campaign directs to a landing page users navigate to Legwork's Appointment Booking page, you will need to make sure the Appointment Booking Notification settings has "Include online marketing tracking via UTM parameters" enabled. To do so:
- Go to Settings
- Go to Appointment Booking
- Navigate to the Notifications Tab
- Check the box Include Online Marketing Tracking via UTM Parameters
- Click Save
Once completed, the Legwork Application will know to look for and store information provided by the UTM parameters as configured by your digital ad campaigns.
