Description:
Legwork now allows practices to use images as response options for single and multiple-choice questions. For example, a pediatric dental practice wants patients (who are minors) to have an easier time expressing their level of anxiety regarding dental visits. Instead of textual descriptions, they can use images so that patients can choose an answer that reflects how they are feeling more intuitively.
Key features:
Using images as answers for single and multiple-choice questions offers several benefits:
- Improved Clarity and Understanding: Images can help patients better understand complex dental terms or procedures, reducing confusion, especially for those with limited medical or dental knowledge. For example, showing pictures of different dental procedures or conditions can make it easier for patients to select the most accurate response.
- Enhanced Engagement: Visual options are more engaging than text-only questions, making patients more likely to complete the form. It creates a more interactive experience, which can improve the overall user experience.
- Better Communication Across Language Barriers: For patients with limited proficiency in the language used in the questionnaire, images can serve as a universal language, helping them to accurately convey their dental concerns or preferences.
- Higher Accuracy in Responses: Images can help avoid misunderstandings or misinterpretations, ensuring that patients select the most accurate option. For instance, a patient may be unsure about the technical name of a dental issue but can easily recognize a picture of it.
- Efficient Data Collection for Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry: When asking about aesthetic preferences (e.g., tooth shade, shape), images allow patients to select a look or outcome they desire, which can be especially useful in cosmetic procedures.
Technical specifications:
- Maximum allowable answer options: Unlimited
- Allowable answer types: Text or Image
- Maximum file size for the answer option is: 500KB
- Maximum image dimension: Legwork will accept images of any dimensions, but for single and multiple-choice questions, the image size will not auto-adjust.
- Changing the image dimension: Users can define optimal sizes using the Width/Height boxes.
- Mobile Responsiveness: Images will not auto-adjust based on the device screen size. The layout of the form will auto-adjust based on the device screen size.
- Image Source: If a URL is provided for the image source, the file name must end in .jpg, .png, or .bmp.
